WHY WE EXIST
We exist for one reason – to keep people working in Nova Scotia’s Construction Industry.
Specifically, it means that:
- We collaborate with construction industry stakeholders and post-secondary institutions to increase the relevance of, and improve apprenticeship training;
- We challenge legislation and practices that limit the freedom and flexibility for skilled trades people to work; and
- We oppose any unfair work practices that put open shop business owners and their employees at a disadvantage.
HOW WE DO IT
We work side-by-side to champion flexibility, freedom & growth – no excuses.
As partners in a strong construction sector, creating new opportunities for growth means we are fully invested in empowering each other, and our employees on a daily basis. For us it’s pretty simple – the best way forward is to ensure we all succeed as open shop contractors and workers.
